Killing time on the roof before a night out.

Shadows are fun play things.

This is how most dogs live here.

You can imagine how nutty they can get.

Let's get down and go for a walk.

The buildings in the center of town are all made of the white volcanic rock that Arequipa is know for.

My favorite time of day.

We found a cafe (on yet another roof) owned by this guy from France who fell in love with a Peruana four years ago and has lived here ever since.  It was so nice to get away from the noisy smoggy streets of the city and yet still be outside.

Just in case the power goes out, these babies are ready to go.

And it did.
